Leak Detection
Leak Detection: either pressure or vacuum integrity can be measured by immersing the part under pressure and bubble checking for gross pressure leaks
He Leak Detection: very small leaks can be detected by pulling a vacuum in bonded enclosures. While under high vacuum, helium gas is injected around the joint. The vacuum pulls any helium leaks into the detector which is a mass spectrometer tuned to the He gas. Leaks can be measured to the 10-9 Pa·m3·s−1 level
